GC Matt Brown in office with insultion question. Need air-impermeable insulation in contact with underside of roof deck and along blocing to create the envelope. Per ES report provide minimum thickness to qualify as air-impermeable insulation per IRC code is 3 inches. Can fill rest of rafter cavity with blow-in insulation to reach r-value needed.
