(PATH PREGNANCY CLINIC) This building does not have a fire sprinkler system. Application for inspection to determine the requirements for the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy for an existing 1,590 square foot building (904 square foot 1st story and 686 square foot basement) to be used as the office of a health care provider that is both a religious organization and that is controlled by a religious organization. This building was originally a single family dwelling. It was converted to a nail salon under the 1994 UBC and then used as a hair salon under the 2009 IBC. The basement is not required to be served by a route accessible to the disabled because the occupant load does not exceed 5 and because it contains no public use spaces. An interior route accessible to the disabled is required throughout the upper level of the 1st story. An interior route accessible to the disabled is not required between the upper and lower levels of the 1st story as allowed by a code alternate approved by the Building Official. New work authorized under this permit is limited to 2 interior partitions, an interior door, and minor work that may be needed to correct noncompliant conditions that may exist. Painting, carpeting, counter tops, and similar finish work are not required to have a building permit. Compliance is required with the items listed in the plan review report under Referenced Code Sections because noncompliance with these items is believed to constitute a distinct hazard to life and safety. **CJW**
