**WUI Zone A - Class "A" Roof Required** The scope of work is to replace the existing raised deck/balcony and to remodel an existing restroom. The new balcony will be constructed with a combination of heavy timbers and fire rated assemblies. An extension of the roof system will also be added over the new balcony. The railing of the balcony is metal with a cable system that has been engineered and will require documentation from the engineer of record that the guardrail system has been installed per the attached stamped engineering. The bathroom that is located on the lower level will be remodeled to create better flow. **DAF** A letter from the applicant’s geotechnical engineer indicating that the footing/column subgrade is acceptable must be approved by Public Works prior to scheduling a footing inspection.
