(UPCYCLE – FITNESS FACILITY – 1ST STORY – NEAR THE SW CORNER) The fire sprinkler system is used for fire area and for a multi-theater complex. Interior demolition work includes removing nonbearing walls and removing a concrete slab to facilitate new under-slab plumbing. To remodel an existing 4,323 square foot tenant space to be used as an exercise and physical training facility. Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, 2 single-user uni-sex shower rooms accessible to the disabled, 1 single-user uni-sex shower room NOT accessible to the disabled, a multi-user Women’s shower room accessible to the disabled, a single-user uni-sex dressing room accessible to the disabled, 2 single-user uni-sex dressing rooms NOT accessible to the disabled, a terraced elevated noncombustible floor within a cycle studio, interior doors, lockers, millwork, gypsum board ceilings and soffits, suspended acoustical ceilings, and finishes. Some of the existing suspended acoustical ceiling will remain. Floor and wall finishes within the existing restrooms will be replaced. The restrooms are required to be accessible to the disabled as defined by current standards. A clothes dryer duct will be installed that will extend to the outside. New shower exhaust ducts will be connected to the main building exhaust duct system. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 and the fire alarm system, if any, is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate fire sprinkler permits and fire alarm permits shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. **CJW**
