(AMALGAMATED SUGAR COMPANY – EXPANSION INTO AN ADJACENT AREA) The fire sprinkler system is used for building area increase. To expand an existing tenant space into an adjacent 1,492 square foot area and to remodel that area plus an adjacent 1,208 square foot area for a total remodeled area of about 2,700 square feet. After the expansion, this tenant will occupy the entire building (about 26,000 square feet). Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, interior windows, interior doors, and finishes. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 and the fire alarm system (if any) is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate fire sprinkler permits and fire alarm permits shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. **CJW**
