**Plan Modification 2-1-17 Permit to vault existing hand stacked roof on the Upper Floor by adding a glu lam beam at the ridge and raising the collar ties. Non-bearing interior walls are being removed on the Upper Floor. The Master Bath floor space will be expanded into the Living Room and Upper Floor area. Support for this new floor will carry to footings in the crawl space. Existing doorway in Mud Room on Main Floor will be filled in and a new opening will be added into a non-bearing wall. The fireplace and bookcases on the Main Floor are being removed. No new footings are being added. No additional room locations are proposed at this time. Owner will bring in room locations at a future date ( a couple weeks from the issue of this permit). All work to be done according to plans, notes, review notes and local codes. No electrical, plumbing, or mechanical are proposed for the Upper or Main Floors for this permit. - BJM*** *** Plan Modification *** Home is in Hillside and WUI Zone "A" - NO exterior work besides window replacement at the Mst. Bedroom and Library areas is proposed. Permit to remove all existing gypsum board throughout home to reveal potential areas of concern and existing structure in order to replace and repair plumbing, electrical and insulate as needed. No walls are to be added or removed at this point. Detailed plans must be provided to the City prior to any further work. Plans have been provided to remodel Master Bedroom and Library area. Existing wall between Master bedroom and Library is bearing and will be replaced with a balloon framed bearing wall to the existing 2x8 roof rafter construction. The ceiling will become vaulted with new, unvented attic space with spray foam insulation providing a minimum R38 value. The existing wall separating the sinks from Bedroom area is being removed. Exterior windows and a door on this level only are being replaced. Insulation in exterior walls will be replaced with R13 or better. Separate electrical, plumbing and mechanical permits are required. All work to be done according to provided plans, notes and review notes. **BJM**
