(SUN RAY CAFÉ – KITCHEN REMODEL) This building does not have a fire sprinkler system. To remodel the kitchen and storage area of an existing 2,700 square foot bar/restaurant tenant. After the remodel, the kitchen will have a total floor area of about 983 square feet (576 square feet kitchen and 407 square feet kitchen storage). A 94 square foot office will also be created. Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, a mop sink, a 2 compartment sink, a dishwasher with a Type II hood above it, a Type I grease hood with exhaust fan (double gas fryer, gas range, gas griddle, and gas char-broiler underneath the hood), duct wrap on grease ducts, a direct fired gas make-up air unit with an evaporative cooler on the roof, a new grease interceptor, a walk-in cooler, new light fixtures, and finishes. Aisles within the interior and exterior public seating areas are required to be in compliance with the Building Code and the Fire Code. This permit is intended to establish a new Certificate of Occupancy for this tenant.
