(BITTERCREEK – RED FEATHER LOUNGE) //Plan modification to reduce the recess floor area, reroute the overhead plumbing and under slab conduit lines. 10-17-2017 // **The fire sprinkler system is used to substitute for 1-hr fire-resistance-rated construction of the building. Includes Code Alternate approval for ceiling heights and step at mechanical room door. Permit is to remove the existing concrete slab, recess the floor and pour new slab in the basement corridor to create a code compliant egress path for exiting in the basement. Special Inspection is required for post-installed anchors in concrete (e.g. expansion bolts, epoxied rebar) and for welding. Additional engineering may be required pending excavation of existing floor. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate fire sprinkler permits shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. **JAR**

Path of egress is more than what was shown on the proposed TCO plan submitted to Jason Blais, coolers are being used so corridor from coolers to stairs is to be included for egress purposes, fire sprinklers will need to be added to basement corridor before TCO can be approved for life fire safety. Sheetrock will need to be installed on corridor wall to seperate area still under construction (area of seperation is where the fire sprinkler system is impaired) from the noted path of egress before TCO can be approved for life fire safety. A fire watch will be required for area's where the fire sprinkler system has been impaired while building is occupied or active fire sprinkler protection will need to be put in the area where the sprinkler piping was removed before TCO can be approved for life fire safety. TCO required items have been discussed with Scott Arellano and Ron Johnson and they are in aggreement for the items mentioned to be completed before TCO can be approved for requested areas.
