as per Sarah and Ted:
Please read the email question below prior to reading my email. (read from the bottom up).
As per the instruction from Sarah and Ted’s email below. Going forward when you receive a call from a roofing contractor or homeowner that is obtaining a reroof permit in the historical district, you will not be required to transfer the caller or walk-in customer to Planning for Historical approval or a certificate of appropriateness. Per the discussion below if the roofing material will be asphalt composite shingle, wood, or ceramic/slate tiles does not require historic review.
Going forward when you take a call for a reroof in the Historical Dist. Please ask the customer to email you the application so that you can create the permit and have them pay online. If the homeowner comes into the office to pull the permit then you can bypass Planning if the material used is one of the referenced materials above.
If you have questions or problems come up when you take the first application please let me know so that we can work through them.
Also make sure and scan the signed application.
Thank you,
|
