Application for inspection to determine the requirements for the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy for an existing 4,750 square foot building to be used for office use (1,890 square feet) and storage use (2,016 square feet). This building also has a 550 square foot basement and a 294 square foot canopy. Except for the basement, egress is to the outside at grade. The travel distance to the outside from the basement is about 53 feet long. The basement has only one means of egress. No new work is authorized under this permit except for minor work that may be needed to correct noncompliant conditions that may exist. Painting, carpeting, counter tops, shelves, and similar finish work are not required to have a building permit. Compliance is required with the items listed in the plan review report under Referenced Code Sections because noncompliance with these items is believed to constitute a distinct hazard to life and safety. **CJW**
