(RED LION INN & SUITES RESIDING) (DRH17-00283) **The fire sprinkler system is used for building area increase, story increase, and occupancy. Scope of work permit to remove exterior non-bearing stub walls; remove the existing wood siding and replace with new hardie siding and cultured stone; replace existing windows with new vinyl, IECC compliant windows of the same size and style; install new tile roofing at sloped roofs; and paint the exterior. Existing 1-hr fire-resistance rated construction on exterior walls is to be maintained. Schedule pre-conference with structural inspector after demo and before installing new siding to verify rated construction. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate fire sprinkler permits shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. **JAR**
