Received email from homeowner stating the roofing contractor was not authorized to obtain a permit on his home. Homeowner had no knowledge and gave no permission for this to occur. The actual work done on the roof was done years ago without a permit. There appears to be misrepresentation in obtaining this permit. Consulted with the City Legal Department and it is reasonable to void this permit at the homeowners request due to the contractor not authorized to obtain the permit and was not hired, engaged or acting as an agent of the property owner. Communication to the contractor will occur and a refund can be obtained.

No work was in progress at time of inspection and no access to roof was provided, a visual inspection of the roof was performed around the perimeter of the dwelling from the ground. The current owner has stated that the actual re-roofing occured between December 2014 and January 2015 prior to his purchasing of the dwelling and not in September/October of 2017. A search of records indicated no roofing permits were issued or work inspected in the December/January time frame.
