(INTERMOUNTAIN GAS – LOCKER ROOM ADDITION TO THE WELDING SHOP – NORTH SIDE) (DRH17-00258) This building does not have a fire sprinkler system. To construct a new 265 square foot toilet room, shower room, and locker room addition to an existing 2,450 square foot building used as a welding shop and storage room. After the addition, this building will have a total floor area of about 2,715 square feet. Work is to include concrete footings, concrete foundations, concrete slab on grade, masonry exterior walls, wood roof trusses, a gypsum board ceiling with insulation installed on top of the ceiling and the attic vented to the outside, wood roof sheathing, a standing seam metal roof covering on a 2:12 sloped shed roof, wall furring and cavity wall insulation installed on the inside of masonry exterior walls, a toilet room accessible to the disabled, a shower room with a transfer shower accessible to the disabled, a locker room accessible to the disabled, interior doors, and finishes. The new addition is required to be served by a route that is accessible to the disabled. A new opening in an existing masonry wall will be created for access between the existing building and the building addition. A steel header, steel jambs, and steel columns to resist out-of-plane lateral loads will be provided at the new opening. A new door will be installed in the opening. Special Inspection is required for soils, concrete, masonry, anchors post-installed in hardened concrete and masonry, and welding. Work also includes a 16’ x 30’ trash enclosure that is open to the sky with concrete footings, concrete foundations, masonry walls 8 feet tall, concrete slab on grade, a steel side hinged personnel door, steel gates, and bollards. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the structural design, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. **CJW**
