Special Inspection is required for soil (excavation and compacted fill), concrete footings (including reinforcing steel), concrete tilt-up panels (including reinforcing steel), anchors post-installed in hardened concrete, and steel (including welding). The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the Geotechnical Engineer’s recommendations, with the Structural Calculations, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department.
