(WOODBINE #2 – GARAGE BUILDING SERVING APARTMENT BUILDING A-1 – NORTHWEST GARAGE UNIT – FIRE RE-CONSTRUCTION) This garage building does not have a fire sprinkler system. To completely demolish to the concrete foundation a single-car garage unit damaged by fire located at the Northwest end of an existing garage building having 8 single-car garage units. Demolition includes removing an interior wall between the demolished garage unit and the adjacent garage unit. An inspection is required by a Boise City Structural Inspector before the existing work is demolished. To re-construct the single-car garage unit to match the original construction of the demolished unit and in compliance with the 1988 UBC even though the provisions of the 2015 IBC are more conservative in some areas. The existing concrete footing, concrete foundation, and concrete slab on grade will remain. Work is to include exterior bearing/shear walls, a garage door header, exterior siding, a garage door, engineered trusses, roof sheathing, an interior shear wall between garage units, and roof shingles. The work is required to comply with the original approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances.
