(UNCORKED - BOISE CO-OP EXPANSION AND WINE TASTING ROOM RELOCATION) (DRH18-00081) (9-11-18 PLAN MODIFICATION TO CONVERT A FORMER STORAGE ROOM IN THE BACK OF THE WINE SHOP TO FUNCTION AS A 149 SQUARE FOOT FOOD PLATING AND PREPARATION ROOM. THE USE INCLUDES PLATING AND PREPARATION OF MEAT AND CHEESE TYPE APPETIZERS AND COLD FOODS TO ACCOMPANY THE WINES SERVED. THE SPACE WILL NOT BE USED FOR COOKING OR MAJOR PREPARATION OF FOOD. A HAND SINK, A BASIN SINK, A STAINLESS STEEL COUNTER, AND FOOD PREPARATION EQUIPMENT WILL BE INSTALLED. THE EGRESS PATH FROM THE 2ND STORY PASSES THROUGH THIS ROOM AND IS REQUIRED TO BE MAINTAINED UNOBSTRUCTED. THE EGRESS DOOR TO THE OUTSIDE IS ALSO NOT ALLOWED TO BE OBSTRUCTED. CJW) This building does not have a fire sprinkler system. To expand the existing 4,860 square foot retail wine shop (4,240 square feet 1st story and 620 square feet enclosed mezzanine) into an adjacent 593 square foot area to create a new wine tasting room. The expansion area was formerly an office area located at the South end of the adjacent pet store. Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, a roll down fire door in an existing 1-hr occupancy separation wall, an interior concrete ramp accessible to the disabled, an interior concrete 2 riser stairway, a new header and trimmers at a new door opening in an interior bearing wall, horizontal sliding wood barn doors at that new door opening (this doorway is not a required means of egress), a bar counter, a drink rail, tables and chairs, and interior finishes. Special Inspection is required for welding and for the application of intumescent paint. Egress for the tasting room is directly to the outside at grade. The restrooms within the retail wine shop serve the new tasting room occupants. Whenever the tasting room is occupied, unobstructed access to those restrooms shall be maintained. The existing toilet rooms are required to be maintained accessible to the disabled as defined by the 2003 IBC. Work within the wine shop includes new wall finishes and merchandise fixtures. Work relating to the pet shop includes a 180 square foot storage room. This permit is intended to establish a Certificate of Occupancy for the wine tasting room only. The former tasting room within the retail wine shop will be converted to a loading area. The path of egress from the retail wine shop located adjacent to the loading area is required to be maintained unobstructed at all time. The path of egress travel from the new tasting room is not allowed to be obstructed by the future sidewalk seating area and fence. Restrooms that serve the pet shop are required to be maintained available to the pet shop occupants. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. **CJW**

Plan Mod - The storage room in the back of the wine shop has been modified to funciton as a food plating and preparation room. The intensity of the type of food preparation includes plating and preparation meat and cheese type appetizers and cold foods to accompany the wines served. Any cooking and major preparation of food will occur in the Main Co-op Bldg's Deli.
