(1120 & 1118 FORT ST - FIRST FLOOR) Permit for interior modifications to two units of an existing legal nonconforming fourplex on the first story (per the attached zoning letter) with work to include the installation of a new recirculating kitchen fans and replacement of existing bathroom exhaust fans, reconfiguration of an existing kitchen and bathroom areas. Any openings created between units shall be fire caulked to mitigate the transfer of smoke and gases. No new penetrations are permitted in the existing floor/ceiling assembly. Any modification to existing fire rated assemblies shall be repaired back to maintain the original assembly rating. Smoke alarms are required in individual dwelling units in accordance with IFC Section 1103.8. This building is NOT fire sprinklered. JAR
