INCLUDE NEW COLUMN SPLICE DETAIL FOR REPLACING DAMAGED PORTIONS OF HEAVY TIMBER COLUMNS. JAR // Permit to replace exterior stairs throughout an existing multi-family housing complex. Thirteen sets of stairs will be constructed on (13) two-story buildings. All buildings are of Type VA construction, requiring building elements to have 1-hour fire resistance rated construction. Rated construction to be maintained or repaired to maintain 1-hour rating. Work to include: repair and replacement of damaged siding; demolition of egress balcony, demolition of existing exterior stair and stair guardrails; installation of new egress balcony, stair structure, stairs, and guardrails at stairs and balconies. Special inspections required per attached Form 310. Approval is contingent upon adhering to the approved plans on file and attached engineering. This is a scope of work permit only with a certificate of completion to be issued upon completion and approval of the project. This building is NOT Fire Sprinklered. **JAR**
