(WOODLAND KIDS – TENANT IMPROVEMENT) (5-22-19 PLAN MODIFICATION TO INSTALL 3-HR FIRE DAMPERS WHERE DUCTS PENETRATE A 3-HR FIRE BARRIER WALL THAT FUNCTIONS AS A 3-HR FIRE WALL PER THE 2015 IEBC.) (4-9-18 PLAN MODIFICATION TO REMOVE THE PREVIOUSLY PROPOSED POWERED EXHAUST FROM TWO EXISTING ROOF TOP HVAC UNITS.) The fire sprinkler system is used for unlimited area of the building AND to allow 3-hr fire barrier walls in lieu of fire walls. The fire sprinkler system is NOT allowed to be used for building area increase for A Occupancies. To remodel an existing 11,286 square foot tenant space to be used as an indoor play area for toddlers and school-age kids. A parent or a guardian is required to be on site with each child at all times. This tenant is not a child daycare facility. Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, 2 multi-user toilet rooms accessible to the disabled, a “high” and a “low” drinking fountain, an elevated platform (30” max.) play structure, interior doors, interior windows, a 3-hr fire barrier wall, suspended acoustical ceilings, gypsum board ceilings, ceilings open to the painted roof structure above, log structure, ceiling and wall structures, millwork, and finishes. Special Inspection is required for welding and for post-installed anchors in hardened concrete. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the structural design, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. Except for the platform play structure, all of the floor areas are at the same level. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate fire sprinkler permits and fire alarm permits shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. **CJW**
