(STOR-IT SELF STORAGE – BUILDING #1) (DRH17-00528) This building does not have a fire sprinkler system. To construct a new 23,790 square foot self-storage building with a total of 35 individual self-storage units within 3 building segments (building areas and fire flow areas of 6,361 square feet, 7,824 square feet, and 9,605 square feet) with a 7 feet 2 inch gap between each segment. The South segment has 11 individual self-storage units (one at 471 square feet and ten at 577 square feet), the middle segment has 11 individual self-storage units (two at 577 square feet and nine at 724 square feet), and the North segment has 13 individual self-storage units (thirteen at 724 square feet each). Two units will be accessible to the disabled. This building is divided into three segments separated by 7.167 feet with one exterior wall of 2-hr fire-resistance-rated construction and the other exterior wall of 1-hr fire-resistance-rated construction. This building having 3 segments is one of five buildings on this site. Work is to include concrete footings; minimum 5” thick concrete slab on grade thickened at roll-up doors and at exterior walls; steel stud bearing and shear walls; steel shear panels; anchors post-installed in hardened concrete; steel exterior siding; steel roof purlins; steel box headers at doors; steel strap roof braces; steel drag struts; steel roof panels; metal gutters; 1-hr property line walls, 2-hr property line walls; roll-up doors; and side hinged swinging doors. Special Inspection is required for soils, for concrete, for structural steel (including welding and bolting), and for post-installed anchors in hardened concrete. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the structural design, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. **CJW**
