(UPTOWN CHEAPSKATE AND KID TO KID – TENANT SPACE EXPANSION) The fire sprinkler system is used for fire area. To expand an existing 10,444 square foot tenant space into an adjacent 1,752 square foot tenant area within an existing 12,270 square foot building. This tenant will now occupy the entire building after the expansion, with a total floor area of about 12,196 square feet. “Uptown Cheapskate” and “Kid to Kid” have separate sales areas and egress systems with shared office, break room, restrooms, and dressing rooms. The existing wall between this tenant space and the expansion area will be demolished. Work is to include a concrete slab on grade, an interior tenant demising wall, interior nonbearing walls, a suspended ceiling, a gypsum board ceiling, and finishes in compliance with Ch. 8 of the current IBC. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. A separate fire sprinkler permit shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. This permit is intended to establish a new Certificate of Occupancy for the combined tenants including the expansion area. **JHB**
