(JUMP – ROLL DOWN SMOKE DOOR AND CROSS CORRIDOR DOOR) (CZC19-00200) The fire sprinkler system is used for high rise, fire flow, and for fire area. This building is a community assembly and community education building. To install an automatic-closing roll-down non-egress smoke door on the 1st story in an existing interior non-bearing smoke partition wall located between the basement garage stairway and an exterior stairway serving upper stories. The door is required to close by smoke detectors, by the fire alarm system, and/or by power loss. The opening is required to be located away from the existing standpipe so that there is no hazard to the passing public. To install a double-leaf opposite swinging egress door on the 6th story between the exterior balcony and a covered hallway. The direction of egress is primarily between the exterior balcony and the covered hallway. Each door leaf will have a closer but neither door leaf will have a lock or a latch. Special Inspection is required for anchors post-installed in hardened concrete. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate fire sprinkler permits and fire alarm permits shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. **CJW**
