Description	To repair and protect all penetrations of the existing one-hour fire-resistive corridor walls throughout the Hillcrest Retirement home facility and to install a new listed 1-hour rated suspended ceiling assembly with appropriate smoke/fire dampers installed to maintain the integrity of the assembly as well as appropriate protection of light fixture's, speakers, etc. as called out in the approved installation instructions for the assembly. An alarm detection system compatible for monitoring & activation of all smoke detection, sprinkler system flow notification, etc. as monitored by the Fire Dept. shall be in installed in conjunction with the upgrade. All per architects code analysis upgrade report of August 1997, on file. Project is being completed ahead of original time frame agreement. Call to Pat McKeegan, architect of record to discuss concerns about the designs for the constructed assemblies proposed to be built for protection of the duct penetrations at the new proposed ceiling. Pat is working on new details as we speak and says that his mechanical personell were having problems finding approved smoke/fire dampers. I asked Pat to stop by and review the details with me today when he came in for a 3 p.m. meeting.
