To remodel the 40,592 sq. ft. retail portion of a 69,516 sq. ft. building. No work within the 28,924 sq. ft. warehouse portion. High piled storage racks to remain as originally approved. Work to include the removal of all interior non-bearing display walls, suspended ceiling system, light fixture's & flex duct runs in the retail sales area. To repair existing carpet, paint interior, raise sprinkler system lines to bottom of upper per NFPA #13 as regulated by the fire department, install new light fixtures and attach mechanical diffusers to the existing main duct outlets. Copies of original "Smith Home Furnishings" approved plans from micro fiche #970526 are being used to show limitations of work within the scope of this permit as described herein, for the purpose of obtaining a new Certificate of Occupancy for a new retail tenant. All per approved plans, notes on plans & attachments to plans. PC#98-681/drs

RAY ###-#### Two sprinklers were blocked by insulation which the contractor fixed. Owners representative and contractor could not provide the listing of the alarm panel and battery test calculations per NFPA #72 on the same. Contractor signed a certification certificate indicating this was done and he will provide them on the property. Certificate is provided to Joe Tawney (mail box) 11/25/98.

Reviewed application for permit to remove all interior display walls, patch carpet, paint interior, remove suspended ceiling and adjust sprinkler system and ductwork to meet code. Use will be same type of retail furniture sales in front (no racks)with use of high piled storage system in warehouse. Occupancy groups will change to "M" & "S1" due to changes in 1994 UBC which would have been a "B2" occupancy under original bldg. review. I am using the existing approved plans on file for the pupose of issuing a permit as allowed under the guidelines of the 24 hour permit process implemented by Bob Garrison, Plan Check Div. Supervisor at time of implementation, & approved by Tim Hogland, Director.
