To close off existing 2800 s.f. basement area to become non-usable crawl space with existing mechanical equipment only. Crawl space to be broom clean of all materials and accessed only for maintenance of mechanical, plumbing & electrical services for the existing building. To install water line connection to new water company line with new backflow preventor at point of connection to existing water line. To install handrails & guardrails at interior stairs and North side deck & stair area, per code. To provide accessibility & egress to the lower main floor area, to include door hardware. Reverse swing of two required exit doors, as indicated on plans, to swing in direction of egress travel. Per appendix Chapter 11, up to 20% of the project cost is to be used toward making the space more accessible. The handicap parking space area and main level access / egress is being installed for this purpose. To add exit signs & emergency exit lighting as shown on plans. Inspector to review Northside sunken area accessing crawl space, for need to protect by railings or fence, to prevent public from danger of falling into sunken area. Fire & Life Safety code review for purpose of determining requirements for issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy for a new Antique Retail Sales use. All per approved plans notes & attachments. Have received plans from Pat McKeegan on Jan 26, 1999 and will review as soon as I am finished with plan review in progress. Mr. Bagley instructed me to have Pat McKeegan called when permit ready to pick up.

MET WITH DREW NEWNHAM OF COLDWELL BANKERS. WANTED TO OBTAIN A CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY FRO A NEW TENANT IN AN EXISTING SPACE AT 6000 FRANKLIN ROAD. TOLD HIM WE COULD DO A MISCELLANEOUS PERMIT TO USE SPACE AS IS WHILE ARCHITECT, PAT MCKEEGAN REVIEWED THE SITE AND CAME UP WITH PLANS TO SHOW THE BASEMENT AREAS CLOOSED OFF WITHOUT ANY USE BEYOND EXISTING MECHANICAL UNITS INBASEMENT. ALSO NEEDED TO REVIEW EXIT REQUIREMENTS FOR DOOR SWING BASED ON OCCUPANT LOAD AND CONSIDER ACCESSIBLITY PER APPENDIX CHAPTER 11. DEW IS TO FAX ME BACK THE COMPLETED APPLICATION AND THE NAME OF THE TENANT.
