Grading is complete but revegetation is not. The engineer has recommended a $500.00 bond. This is acceptable and has been submitted. The contractor must place a silt fence along the bottom of the slope at the rear of the lot. When this is complete the grading and drainage is conditionally approved.

Soils report identified the presence of highly expansive clay but did not indicate the full extent of the clay or make recommendations for dealing with it. I spoke with the contractor and Dean Briggs, the sols engineer, and they will do additional soils investigation to determine the full extent of the clay and make recommendations based on that.
Soils engineer recommended removing the expansive clay and replacing it with structural fill to elevation of footings. Approved as category 3.
