1. This project is required to submit an NOI to obtain federal NPDES permitting. Please include this notification to the contractor in your plan.
2. This plan does not meet federal SWPPP requirements. I strongly recommend that you review section 7 of the CGP to review the EPA SWPPP requirements, however this will not hold up City permitting.
3. This project will be disturbing fairly significant slopes but there are no perimeter controls. Please explain how sediment will be retained on site in the event of a storm event or approved non-stormwater discharge.
4. The Scope of Project section indicates that the “rear native slopes and lots 19-21 for the most part will be left undisturbed”. Please show the vegetated areas to be preserved and the limits of disturbance on the plan.
5. The Scope of Project sections states that the site has the potential to discharge to the Penitentiary Canal. Please show the location of the this canal on the site map.
6. Keynote 11 on the map states “Protect in place exist. ponds”. Please describe and show on the map how these will be protected.
7. Please include a comprehensive list of pollutant generating activities (e.g. grading, excavation, trenching, saw cutting).
8. Please delete “or onto stockpiles of aggregate base or sand” from The Cement and Concrete Handling section. This is not an approved washout practice.
9. Please note that tracking control procedures can be removed at time of final stabilization and is not required to be in place until building occupancy sign-off as required in BMP Removal Schedule.
