Failed first Site Prep. Went back same day and corrections were nearly complete. Had to finish approx 25 feet of trenching in wattle and needs to go back and tuck in sod on backside so it can't fall in canal. Canal water has been turned off and storm drains are protected. Discussed importance of maintaining grassy buffer as one of the BMPs.

LM for applicant, verbal with PD. Emailed comments to both:
1. Please confirm the Responsible Person (RP) for the project will be. The ESC Application lists Pete Glidden but the plan lists Matt Lotridge. Please note that Mr. Lotridge’s RP certification has expired. In order to renew it, you must submit a copy of your current WPCM certification along with a $55.00 fee to the City of Boise OR complete the 4-hour RP certification course. The next class is scheduled June 20th with American Geotechnics. View more information and the full schedule at http://pds.cityofboise.org/building/bld/erosion/training/.
2. Tables 1-3 on page 5 need updated. The Boise River is the first receiving water, however, this segment is listed as impaired by the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (IDEQ). You can find more information in the IDEQ 2010 Integrated Report or contact the IDEQ Boise Regional Office directly at ###-####.
3. The General description lists the removal and replacement of the walkway. The total disturbance per this description equals 1,125 SF. Please include any additional disturbance that may be required for material staging or concrete placement, otherwise construction will be confined to the footprint of the walkway.
4. Section 5.1 Potential Pollutants must be completed. If additional pollutants are introduced that were not originally anticipated, you may amend the plan during the construction phase.
5. Your plan details using the Outpack 4x4 washout for concrete wash water and maintaining when material reach one inch from the height of the container. The Outpack should be sufficient size for this project but one inch of freeboard is not sufficient. Washouts should be maintained when it reaches 50% capacity.
6. Mr. Lotridge stated that the unnamed lateral will be drained for the project. This is a valuable BMP that should be described in the plan.
7. The Construction General Permit (CGP) in Appendix B is not the most current CGP. This is a moot point though because the project is not subject to federal NPDES permitting.
8. There is a pedestrian bridge connecting the greenbelt access to the HOA walkway. Your map shows the walkway improvement extending all the way to the greenbelt which would include the bridge. If the new walkway does not include any work on the bridge, the disturbance limits shown on the map need to reflect this.
9. The map requires the following additions:
a. Property boundaries, lot lines and drainage easements (if any)
b. North arrow and date
c. The map must be drawn to scale
d. Location of existing vegetative cover. Page 11 indicates you plan to preserve as much of the buffer between the surface waters and the construction site as possible. This will be one of the most effective erosion and sediment controls for this project. Please show the location and the widths of the buffer to be preserved on the map.
e. Sheet 002 is not legible.
f. Details for each structural BMP must be provided. This includes a detail for the straw wattle and the Outpack washout (you can download this off of the manufacturers website).
