FULTON STREET ANNEX (SHELL ONLY) - To add additional initiation and annunciation devices in the remodeled shell Annex areas, connected to existing building fire alarm system. No FAC panel replacement is involved. Current building alarm system coverage includes a manual fire alarm system, sprinkler monitoring , elevator recall, smoke dampers, monitoring of duct detectors for HVAC air handler shut down, and offsite alarm monitoring. Plans also include 1st floor tenant areas shown on plans.
NOTE: Alarm devices are not complete in vacant areas. All vacant areas will therefore require new alarm permits as TI's occur for approval of additional alarm devices in those areas. The building permit (BLD01-00921) is to modify an existing building shell (North portion of an existing building). An interior 1-hr stair enclosure is being constructed and a seismic upgrade performed. Work is to include 1-hr walls, an interior masonry shear wall, plywood sheathing overlay on the 2nd floor and roof, through bolt tiebacks between walls and diaphragms, a partial reconstruction of the 2nd floor, and an open stairway between the 2nd floor and the 3rd level. NO OCCUPANCY IS ALLOWED UNDER THIS PERMIT. The South portion of this building is currently occupied by the Contemporary Theater.
