ST ALPHONSUS BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERV -To upgrade the existing building fire alarm system in this 1-story building, to meet current code requirements, in conjunction with new building additions and TI remodel areas. Modifications include additional manual pulls, area smoke detectors, in-duct smoke detectors for release of smoke dampers, duct detectors for HVAC shut down, and additional a/v notification devices. The building permit BLD 01-01109 is to remodel the existing 20,000 sq.ft. psychiatric services and support medical facility and add 1,315 sq.ft., (630 s.f. as training classroom on the west side of building adjacent to office area and 685 s.f.as new entry, waiting, reception and admin area).
NOTE: This building is fully fire sprinklered; is 1-hour fire-resistive construction throughout & the "I-3" Occupancy is divided into 3,900 sq. ft. areas by a 2-hour Area Separation wall & separated from the "B" occupancy by a combination 2-hour Area & Occupancy Separation wall. There is a 1-hour rated exit corridor system serving the "I" occupancy.
