Key Bank Building - To replace an existing fire alarm panel and upgrade the alarm system to meet current code requirements (1997 UFC) for high rise buildings. A programmed upgrade agreement was approved 11/19/2001 by the Fire Department but the alarm plans submitted show all required upgrades are being done under this permit. The new system will include: selective coverage area smoke detection as required for high rise buildings and for door hold-open devices and elevator recall, an emergency voice alarm-signaling system, a fire department communication system, a voluntary manual alarm system, visual alarm annunciation, monitoring of sprinkler system waterflow and valve tamper and fire pump functions, duct smoke detectors for HVAC air handler shut down per UMC requirements, and duct/induct smoke detectors in return and exhaust air systems as required for high rise buildings. There is no building permit associated with this alarm work.
