SHORELINE PLAZA - To add smoke detectors for release of door-hold-open devices on doors in the new 4-hour rated wall. The associated building permit (BLD 01-02750) is to remodel and bring up to code per UBC Section 3402. Work to include modification of existing CMU walls to meet the requirements of a four-hour area separation wall and installing opening protection. This wall is being required to separate the Type I-FR from the Type V-1Hr. This permit also includes removal and reconstructing the front entry canopy to meet the requirements of a pedestrian walkway of noncombustible construction. NOTE: This building is fire sprinklered in the lobby, library, office and corridor areas.
