NEW HEIGHTS CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP - To extend the existing fire alarm system into the new addition and to modify the existing devices within the existing building area to meet current code. The system includes manual pull stations, monitoring of the fire sprinkler system, partial area smoke detection including for release of smoke door hold-opens, monitoring of smoke detectors for HVAC air handler shut down and fire/smoke damper release, and a/v annunciation with speaker/strobes for voice evacuation.
The associated building permit (BLD 02-00155) is to construct a 17,367 square foot one story, Type V1hr sanctuary with classrooms, office, kitchen, and narthex addition to the existing building. A 2 hr area wall will separate the existing building from the addition and one-hour occupancy separations will be provided for between the Group B and A2.1 Occupancies. All work is per the approved plans and attachments. The new addition shall be fully fire sprinklered and the sprinklers shall be used for substitution of the one hour construction except for the rated corridor on the east side and the area and occupancy separations.
