Called Commercial (John Warnick), who returned my call 8:15am. Told him that the wine tower does not meet fire resistive seperation and must be included in the calcs. Also told him that they had started work without a permit. His reply was: OK?

No section details provided to verify elevations. Sprinkler head in the "rack" should be included in the overhead system (mezzanine) calcs or clarification provided as to why not. Need information on "Rack" and "SSP" head. Riser valves were not included in the calcs. Scope of work in permit is lacking.

Site inspection to verify plans submitted. Found worked finished or roughed in, in most affected areas. Found one added cooler not in the plan. G.C. indicated they had been issue a permit for quite some time. Plans recieved 11/7/02. Separation of Wine Tower-level will be glass with not rated.
Telephone call  11/13/2002 DONE
Called designer (John Warnick) this AM and left message with answering service to (have John) call back. (Regarding this project).

John called back about 1:10pm. Indicated that I failed the submittals. Commented on one problem, which was the one head in the Wine Tower appears to be in the same area and not include in the calcs. He said it was partitioned/separated, etc.

Told him we noticed the work was already pretty much completed without a valid permit and his response was: "Yea"? (in the tone of, "So What" or "So Now What")
