Coverage shown on plans includes, but is not limited to, manual pull stations, area smoke detection, elevator recall, release of door hold-opens, smoke detectors for HVAC air handler shutdown and release of smoke dampers, and a/v annunciation.
The associated building permit (BLD 02-00730) is to remodel the remaining 16,645 sq.ft.East portion of the fifth floor area to serve as a 41 bed Nursing Unit for general medical & surgical care per approved plans on file. Work to include selective demolition; construction of new interior, non-bearing, non-combustible, fire-resistive walls to create new patient rooms, nurses stations and support areas; to upgrade electrical, plumbing, mechanical, fire suppression and alarm systems to meet tenant needs and comply with current adopted codes.
