To replace an existing non-code compliant fire alarm system with a new fire sprinkler riser monitoring system. The system will include the monitoring of the existing fire alarm system, one manual pull station, one smoke detector and the supervision of five existing duct smoke detectors. A single horn will be place in a normally occupied location.
The associated building permit (BLD 02-01671) is to expand an existing childcare area by 230 square feet to 570 square feet within a 15,000 square foot 2 story building. Also, to construct a 200 square foot retail sales area. All work is on the main floor within an existing exercise facility without any expansion to the building floor area. Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, accessible upgrades to the existing restroom, and interior finishes all per approved drawings and plan review conditions on file. The location of fire sprinkler heads shall comply with NFPA 13-1999 as regulated by the Fire Department.
