(THE BIG EASY) To modify fire sprinklers in the remodel the lower level of an existing assembly room to increase the allowable occupant load within the room. A 2,500-ft/2 expansion area in the basement will accommodate support functions (e.g. kitchen, dressing room, storage, etc.) for the assembly room. After the expansion, this tenant will have a total floor area of 11,624ft/2. Work is related to a stairway only. The removal of piping under the existing stairs is also covered under this permit. Any other related BLD work associated with the Building Permit shall require resubmittal or a separate FIRE permit. This building is fire sprinklered to substitute for 1-hr fire resistive construction. The fire sprinkler system work shall comply with NFPA 13-1999, attached review comment and conditions list, as regulated by the Fire Chief. These notes, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code.
