(THE BIG EASY) To relocate, remove and add fire sprinklers in the remodel of misc. areas and the lower level of an existing assembly room, for increase of allowable occupant load (within that room). A 2,500-ft/2, expansion area in the basement will accommodate support functions (e.g. kitchen, dressing room, storage, etc.) for the assembly room. After the expansion, this tenant will have a total floor area of 11,624-ft/2. Work is to include structural headers and trimmers at widened doorways, stairways, guardrails, handrails, fire doors, new structural bracing for the mezzanine, and a toilet/shower room accessible to the disabled all per approved drawings, engineering, and plan review conditions on file. Selective demolition is also covered under this permit. This building is fire sprinklered to substitute for 1-hr fire-resistive construction. The fire sprinkler system work shall comply with NFPA 13-1999, attached review comment and conditions list, as regulated by the Fire Chief. These notes, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code.
