(RAVE)(BOISE TOWNE SQUARE-SPACE 2180) DEMO PERMIT ONLY - To demo fire sprinklers in preparation for a remodel of a 2,260-ft/2, retail space, for a new tenant located on the upper level of the BTS Mall. Fire sprinkler work is related to the removal of the overhead ceiling system fire sprinkler protection and readjusting for temporary protection at the roof/ceiling. Also related sprinkler work with the removal of an existing storage room. Fire sprinklers protection to tenant space during construction can be modified with deflector distances not meeting requirements of NFPA 13:1-4.6, A-1-4.6, temporarily during the construction phase if the following items are provided and verified.
1. Tenant is separated from the other tenants with a 1-hour fire rated tenant-demising wall,
2. Fuel loads of combustibles are kept to a minimum and removed daily,
3. Flammable liquids are not used or stored within the tenant space,
4. Tenants smoke detector is relocated to the roof/ceiling,
5. Zone smoke evacuation system and alarms are functioning properly.
The fire sprinkler system work shall be installed and maintained in accordance with minimum requirements of NFPA 13-1999, complying with the IFC-2000 and attached review comment and conditions list, as regulated by the Fire Chief. These notes, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this permit, to provide witness of compliance verification of meeting minimum code.
