Description	SCP Global Technologies - Racking * To modify the overhead fire sprinkler system a 3,181-ft/2 area by changing out 90 Reliable Model "G" ¾" thread, 17/32" K-factor, L.O. to Tyco Series "ELO-231B", ¾" thread 11.2 K-factor orifice sprinklers. To install column protection for 4 columns, located within the new racks and add one 1½" hose station. The commodity classification addressed is Class IV to 18'-0" elevation with minimum 5'-6" aisle width. Also included in this permit work is the installation of a new Wilkins Model "350", 8" Double Check Backflow Preventer w/forward flow test piping arrangements and appurtenance. This work is located between columns "C" and outside wall "E" running east and west, and "3" and "8" running north and south. All fire sprinkler system work shall be in accordance to NFPA 13-1999, complying with the IFC-2000 and attached review comment and conditions list, as regulated by the Fire Chief. These notes, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code.

Racking requires a current building permit for attaching.
Verify racking layout and show modification of the same with resubmittal.
Provide rack information, which includes height, levels in each, shelf types, dimensioned widths, lengths, transverse flue, and longitudinal flue, aisle width between rows.
Provide a section view of the building over this area showing the dimensioned elevation of the racking, commodity storage, truss system depths, width, type, location of roof protection, light fixtures, heat equipment, ducts.

The Sidewall sprinklers at the 15-ft elevation, pointed toward one side of the steel column, shall be detailed on the plan with a dimensioned section view. Provide details showing you are meeting the requirement of 6-4.2.

Provide a sprinkler head legend on the plans that identify all sprinklers, including temperature, etc.
