Add A/V devices in TI space to an existing fir alarm system and relocate A/V devices in the elevator lobby to accommodate a dome ceiling. The existing system is a manual alarm system that includes HVAC shutdown, fire/smoke dampers, elevator recall, smoke rated fire doors and requirements for a high rise building (i.e. voice/evacuation system).
The associated building permit (BLD 03-00539) is to create a 2,683 square foot office tenant space and to construct interior improvements. This space is located on the 6th floor (14,600 square feet total) of an existing high rise building. The "core" has a floor area of 2,670 square feet. The two existing "core" restrooms will be upgraded to be accessible to the disabled. Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, interior windows and doors, millwork, finishes, and suspended ceilings all per the approved drawings and plan review report on file. All new work associated with the existing elevator lobby/corridor shall comply with the 1-hr corridor provisions of the 2000 IBC. If not already existing, firesafing shall be installed at the perimeter of the floor (within this tenant space) between the floor and the spandrel glass. This permit does NOT allow occupancy of adjacent tenant areas. The location of fire sprinkler heads shall comply with NFPA 13-1999 as regulated by the Fire Department.
