To upgrade a required manual and automatic fire alarm system in a remodeled area. Total area coverage will be implemented for fire/smoke damper control (for HVAC that feeds the area) and door release service. In-duct smoke detectors will be installed for fire/smoke dampers that feed other areas. The existing PA system will be implemented for audible.

The associated building permit (BLD 01-02341) is to perform selective demolition and remodel of an 8,870 sq. ft. Administrative Support area for the hospital staff adjacent to and serving the new East Wing expansion NICU of the "I1.1" full service hospital per approved plans on file. Work to include non-combustible, fire-resistive, non-bearing walls to create occupancy separations at "new suites'"; occupancy separations per Table 3-C; rated corridor exit system; new administration, treatment & exam offices; extension & upgrade of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire suppression and alarm system as required for new uses and current adopted codes. Note: This building is fully sprinklered and alarmed.
