(SAFFRON RESTAURANT - PIONEER BLDG - 1ST FLR) This building is fire sprinklered for fire area, story increase, area increase, protection of historic openings at the alley, to avoid a basement enclosure, to allow an atrium, etc. The building permit is for remodel of an existing 1,313-ft/2 restaurant tenant space for a new restaurant tenant. The space is located on the first floor (central East side) of an existing 34,700-ft/2, 3 story building. Interior nonstructural demolition was covered under permit BLD03-02669 to which not sprinkler work was provided. This permit is for the addition of one dry pendant head in a new cooler. Other work not addressed with fire sprinkler modifications but shall be verified is interior nonbearing walls, new (Type I) grease hood and duct. The fire sprinkler system work shall comply with IFC 2000, attached review comment and conditions list, as regulated by the Fire Chief. These notes, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code.
