To upgrade the existing fire alarm system. An upgrade agreement has been signed by Dave Miller for the panel replacement, core areas and second floor upgrade. The rest of the space will be upgraded with new TIs. The fire alarm system is a required manual system with sprinkler monitoring, HVAC shutdown, elevator recall/shutdown and notification throughout.

The associated building permit (BLD 03-02511) is to remodel for a new 11,566 sq. ft. expansion to an existing 2,780 sq. ft. office tenant on the second floor of an existing building per approved plans on file. The new tenant total will be 14,346 sq. ft. and the tenant will now occupy the entire second floor. Existing one-hour rated exit corridor on the floor is being downgraded to a non-rated corridor under this permit. Work to include miscellaneous interior demolition work, some new interior walls, some new interior doors, interior finish, fire sprinkler work including new quick-response heads throughout the entire floor, mechanical work, plumbing work, and electrical work. Accessible upgrade work will include providing an accessible stall in the Men's restroom and providing accessible door hardware throughout the whole floor. A new Certificate of Occupancy is to be issued when completed and approved. Original tenant permit was done under BLD02-02842. NOTE: This building is fully fire sprinklered for one-hour substitution.
