Description
Per the upgrade agreement dated 5/5/2000, a floor a year is to be upgraded to the new Silent Knight FACP. There is a TI on the entire 6th and part of the 7th floors. These areas will be upgraded per the agreement. Sprinkler monitoring, elevator recall/shutdown, door release, manual pull stations, HVAC shutdown and requirements for a high rise building (notification throughout, speaker/strobes).

The associated building permit (BLD 03-02287) is to remodel 32,531 sq.ft. of office on the 6th floor and 4,177 sq.ft. of office on the 7th floor per approved plans. Work includes selective demolition of interior non-bearing walls; construction of new non-combustible, fire-resistive walls to create offices & support areas; installation of suspended ceiling grid system; upgrade of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire suppression & alarm systems and security devices. Tom Houston, update on the upgrade agreement. Fire Sentry will be submitting for the 4th and 5th floors to cover the "floor per year for 2002 and 2003". I told Tom that both floors could be done on one submittal and once I received the 4th adn 5th floor submittals, I would review the 6th floor.

Call with Tom Houston regarding the upgrade agreement. The upgrade agreement stated that specific elevator recall and the 7th floor core (strobes) would be completed by 2001 and a floor per year would be completed after that. Our records show no work has been completed since 2001. Apparently the recall was completed for the 5th floor last year (no permit was issued, I will ask Rick to check on it) and they assumed they were fulfulling their portion of the agreement. Tom was going to confirm with the installer.

Stephanie Cribbs (CSHQA) was inquiring about what was required for a submittal for the 5th floor. I explained the "core" areas and elevator recall. I explained that the 6th floor permit would be on hold until I received the 5th floor submittal, at which time I would get the 6th floor out in a timely manner. I also requested a speaker circuit calculation to ensure the amplifiers are not being overloaded. The battery calculations have been completed using the maximum current available.
