To demo existing initiating devices and notification appliances in BLDG 33. To provide notification throughout the remodeled space to an existing required manual fire alarm system that includes sprinkler monitoring, elevator recall/shutdown and HVAC shutdown.

The associated building permit (BLD 04-00525) is to remodel approximately 34,150 sq. ft. of the first floor of an existing 68,180 sq. ft., two story manufacturing building. This remodel will convert the existing H-5 & B Occupancies to F-1 & B Occupancies. The second floor is office and mechanical platform space and there is no work being proposed for the second floor areas under this permit. There is a 5760 sq. ft. area at the southeast corner of the first floor that is currently occupied as Lab and Office areas, there is no remodel work proposed for this area under this permit. The remainder of the building is currently unoccupied. There is no work proposed at the accessible restrooms, break room, facilities shop and shipping and receiving areas located on the west end of the first floor. The remaining areas will have some interior partition and doors removed and relocated to create new manufacturing, testing and finished goods storage areas.
