To monitor a duct smoke detector for HVAC shutdown in the remodeled area. The required fire sprinkler fire alarm system includes non-required partial area detection, HVAC shutdown, fire/smoke damper control, door release and elevator recall/shutdown.
The associated building permit (BLD 04-00957) is to expand an existing office from 5,375 sq.ft. to 7,613 sq.ft. per approved plans. Work to include construction of interior partitions, installation of a new suspended ceiling system (installed per 25-2 to match the existing installation), installation of a new 20 minute fire rated door into the existing corridor system, new lighting and bi-level switching, new Hvac system, miscellaneous related interior finishes. This building is fully fire sprinklered for area increase, any alterations or modifications to the sprinkler system shall be per NFPA #13 as regulated by the fire department.
