Description
To provide notification (speaker/strobe) coverage to the 8,070 sq ft section of floor that was demoed and left unoccupied. The required manual fire alarm system includes sprinkler monitoring, required automatic detection, HVAC shutdown, fire/smoke damper control, door release and notification throughout (highrise; voice/evac).

There is no associated building permit. The area was "demoed" under BLD 03-02351 which is to perform selective demolition in a 2,475 sq.ft. area on the south side of the floor to prepare for future construction under BLD03-02343. No new construction or occupancy under this permit. NOTE: The fire sprinkler and fire alarm system must remain fully operational at all times per Boise Fire Department. (mys)

BLD03-02343 is to do an interior remodel to a portion of the 6th floor to an existing tenant in an existing high-rise building per approved plans on file. An 8,070 sq. ft. section of the floor will be demolished and remain unoccupied at this time. (Sprinkler and fire alarm systems to remain operational.) New remodel work affects a 2,085 sq. ft. office area, 200 sq. ft. mail room, and a 190 sq. ft. coffee room. Work to include miscellaneous interior demolition work, new one-hour rated corridor wall infill in two former openings, relocating a 20 minute rated door in corridor wall, new interior walls, new interior doors, interior finish, suspended ceiling adjustments, new counters/sinks, fire alarm work, fire sprinkler work, mechanical work, plumbing work, and electrical work. Interior demolition of the space occurred under BLD03-02351. This is a Scope of Work Permit. Letter of Completion to be issued when done.
