1. Fire sprinkler calculation design most demanding and remote Test #1 does not meet requirements as design indicated in Table 12.1.9.1.2(a). Revise K-factor heads and resubmit. (IFC 105.4, 901.2)
2. Fire sprinkler calculation design most demanding and remote Test #2 does not meet requirements as design indicated in Table 12.1.9.1.2(a). Revise K-factor heads and resubmit. (IFC 105.4, 901.2)
3. Provide and show required draining meeting requirements for all trapped piping. (NFPA 13:8.15.2.5, IFC 102.7)
4. Provide engineered trapezes hangers pipe size and type supporting in meeting the design data incorporating span and weight/load factors per NFPA 13:9.1.1.6.1 and include it on the plans. (IFC 105.4, 901.2)
5. Hanger detail #15 (FP-1) addresses a typical trapeze which also does not clearly address correct engineering. Normal installation with the pipe hanger support to the trapeze is provided with a rod drilled through the trapeze clarified in 9.1.1.6.4, which would prevent hanger slippage at this point of contact. Correct and resubmit. (IFC 105.4, 901.2)
6. Hanger detail #15 (FP-1) addresses a typical trapeze which also does not clearly address correct engineering. Where pipe is suspended from a pipe trapeze of a diameter less than the diameter of the pipe being supported, the rings, straps, or clevis hangers of the size, corresponding to the suspended pipe, shall be used on both ends as addressed in 9.1.1.6.5. Correct and resubmit. (IFC 105.4, 901.2)
7. Designer does not clarify which "Wood Vertical Mount Sammy" incorporating. GST 25-380 & GST 30 (Wood, 3/8" Vertical Mount) are UL listed up to 4". GST 20 is UL listed up to 2 ½". No other "Sammy" Wood, 3/8" Vertical Mount all-thread rod anchoring system is listed. A GST 20 (listed for up to 2 ½" pipe only) can be installed into the center of the lower cord of a composite joist only. Penetration of the upright center web is permitted by some joist manufacturers. Truss manufacturer installation point approvals shall be available on demand by the IFC Fire/Life Safety Inspector during inspection. NOTE: Special nut drivers are available and designed to be used with the Sammy Super Screw™ anchoring system. Nut drivers must be used for installation to meet warranty and listing requirements since the driver spins free on the screw after installation is complete and reduces over-torquing and screw (snap) failure. Pre-drilling may be required by joist manufacturers. If required, pre-drill pilot 1/8" smaller than root diameter of fastener. Consult "Sammy" predrilled hole size table plus the truss manufacturer installation requirements prior to installations. Clarify and resubmit. (IFC 105.4, 901.2)
8. The 6" bulk main is missing a required E.Q. brace. Correct and resubmit. (IFC 105.4, 901.2)
9. Plan sheet FP-1 "Remote Design Information", Remote Area #2, "Hazard is incorrect. Correct and resubmit.
