To provide a required manual fire alarm system. The required manual fire alarm system includes automatic detection and notification throughout.

The following comment is from the IFC building permit write-up:

61. Single or multiple-station smoke alarms shall be installed in the following locations in Group R-1:
1. in sleeping areas.
2. in every room in the path of the means of egress from the sleeping area to the door leading from the guestroom or suite. (Refer to 907.2.10; Group R-1)

NOTE: The proposed plan to provide system smoke detection in the sleeping space instead of single/multiple station smoke detectors, was approved by the Fire Marshall and Building Dept., in view of the temporary nature of this structure, its location in proximity to the exterior exit stairs of the main building, the lack of occupancy during daytime hours, and the prohibition against any smoking or cooking within this building.

The associated building permit (BLD 04-023372) is to install a 26 x 56 2016 sq. ft. modular building to be used as a dormitory for a maximum of 48 occupants for a period of time not to exceed 180 days from final approval. This permit includes the foundation, tie-downs, accessible ramp and stairs, new panic hardware on exit doors, new exit signs, emergency light, fire alarms and smoke detectors per approved plans and attachments, CZC04-00149. State of Idaho Tag # WA-IDI 0320CC. A Temporary Certificate of Occupancy for 180 days is to be issued on final approval. This temporary building has been approved in accordance with IBC Section 107. TEMPORARY OCCUPANCY
